Improving mental fitness not only enables you to overcome setbacks, find acceptance, and build resiliency but also to grow and thrive. I believe Mind Fitness is just as important as our physical fitness. Developing and practicing an individualized mental fitness plan can lead to clearer thinking, reduced feelings of anxiety and depression, more meaningful relationships, and experiencing more purpose in your life.
As a licensed marriage and family therapist, I am trained to work with many evidenced-based therapeutic modalities enabling me to effectively treat depression, anxiety, mood disorders, personality disorders, relationship and family issues, anger management, substance use disorders, and people who have experienced a history of trauma. I work with individuals, couples, and families who want to change how they manage stressful life events, grief and loss, relationship issues, conflict, emotional and physical pain, and other physical and mental health problems. I enjoy working with people who are interested in improving their personal and professional relationships and who are willing to begin the process by focussing on the most important relationship of all, relationship with oneself.
“Walk and Talk” therapy is an option for anyone who might benefit from low impact physical exercise combined with talk therapy or anyone who prefers to meet for therapy in a natural setting versus a formal office setting. I also offer teletherapy video sessions for anyone who prefers to meet in a virtual office.
