Darin Dorsett (he/him) joined Gunnison Valley Health in 2022 as a behavioral health clinician providing services via telehealth. By joining the GVH network of providers utilizing telehealth, Darin aims to provide support for individuals who may otherwise have difficulty securing mental health care. Darin obtained his master’s degree in clinical counseling from Regis University and has expertise working with substance use disorders, attachment disorders, LGBTQIA+ issues, and trauma. Darin utilizes a multitude of theoretical frameworks when working with clients including but not limited to person-centered, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). In his free time, Darin enjoys getting outdoors (hiking, running, or rock-climbing), spending time with his two golden doodles, and working with nonprofit organizations to support addict/alcoholics in need of resource.
