Andrea is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), National Certified Counselor (NCC), and a Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) in the state of Colorado. She has been practicing for over 6 years in a variety of settings including a short-term residential facility, multiple prisons, and community mental health. Her aim is to help you better understand your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, what they mean, and how they relate to your present-day struggles and challenges. She understands that each client faces unique challenges and needs to work on themselves at their own pace, she approaches every client with an open mind, and never makes any assumptions about your life experience. Together, she will work to deepen your awareness, understanding of your desires, patterns of relating, so you may experience a more authentic and fulfilling life. She comes from a client centered approach by treating the whole person utilizing the bio psychosocial model of treatment and utilizes a wide range of evidence-based approaches that include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Strength-Based Therapy, and Individual Therapy.
In my free-time I enjoy taking advantage of nature around me with family and friends, including camping, hiking, rafting, going to the lake, and exploring new places to travel. You will find my adorable Labrador Kodiak by my side on these adventures.
