Title: When the Body Keeps the Alarm On: Injury, Stress, and Whole-Person Healing Through a Neuroplastic Lens
Description: After physical injury, trauma, or periods of significant stress, the nervous system can sometimes remain in a heightened protective state long after the original threat has passed. This workshop explores how both physical injuries and stress-related “alarm” responses can contribute to ongoing symptoms—including pain, fatigue, dizziness, digestive symptoms, sensory changes, and other functional or neuroplastic experiences. We’ll look at how stress, identity shifts, and survival responses can shape these patterns, and how recovery can involve helping the nervous system return to safety and flexibility, not just addressing the body in isolation.
