Garland Middleton

I am a Licensed Social Worker specializing in work with children and adolescents, as well as adults. My philosophy is rooted in empowering and uplifting individuals through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and mindfulness as a way of propelling them to their highest potential. I also utilize a psychoanalytic and psychodynamic approach to explore both the unconscious and conscious, as well as early experiences in life that have impacted you today. Our work is a collaborative experience in which your unique circumstances and personality can be fully honored. I have worked extensively with trauma, ranging from early childhood trauma, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, to current crisis situations, and understand the courage and strength it can take to open up to a therapist. It is truly my privilege to be witness to the vulnerable exploration of self. In my free time, I enjoy backpacking, painting, and drawing, and spending time with furry friends and loved ones. I received my MSW at the Metropolitan State University of Denver.
