Sometimes, therapy can feel out of reach for individuals whose lives have been filled with challenge after challenge. But, the constant feelings of anxiety, sadness, and loneliness don’t have to define your story. Let’s explore together, in a brave and honest space, how you can begin to overcome those feelings and move toward healing. My mission is to help you feel at home within your self, even in spaces where you may feel like you don’t belong.
My approach is person-centered, meaning you are the expert of your lived experience. My goal is to support you in identifying and embracing your identity, exploring your experiences, and navigating the challenges that often come with life. One of the most powerful lessons I’ve learned along the way is that at the core, people want two things: to feel validated in their experiences and to understand how they arrived at their current place in life. My work is rooted in honoring those needs, creating a space where you can explore your story with compassion, curiosity, and a sense of safety.
As a Black immigrant woman, my lived experience helps me connect deeply with individuals who feel unseen, undervalued, and as if their stories and struggles hold no weight. I understand what it means to navigate systems not built with you in mind. This perspective allows me to show empathy, authenticity, and a deep respect for the strength it takes just to be. I have over 20 years of experience in the mental health and medical social work fields. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals from all walks of life.
